The Stephenson Maternity Session
I’ve had the pleasure of capturing this family from the very beginning many years ago! It’s literally a wedding photographer’s dream come true. To capture their engagement session, bridal session, and wedding day you always hope as the family grows they’ll keep coming back to you in the future. As we all know it doesn’t always happen that way, and with that I have the upmost respect and love for the Stephenson’s!
Since their wedding day, I’ve photographed their maternity session with their first born, the newborn session, family session, and now as they await their daughter another maternity session! The mother to be here has family that owns private land out in Autaugaville, Alabama. This was the second time I’ve been out there to photograph them. The first time I was out there we battled super cloudy skies and some rain. Of course the session was still super awesome, but I am a major fan of light. For this session we had a beautiful late summer afternoon filled with gorgeous sunny natural light to work with.
This of course was scheduled as a maternity session, but how could one pass up the opportunity to get images of the entire family while we’re all in the same space? I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to capture their little one both solo and paired with mom & dad. I even had to get a few images of the nostalgic horses they have on location too. Both as setting the scene as the background as well as a few solo pics. So thankful for the Stephenson’s and all of the business they’ve thrown my way, but the most value I received from this session is the hour I remained once we were finished snapping pics. With the camera down we had an opportunity to catch up on all of the little things of life that transpired since the last time I got to photograph them. It’s moments like this that puts a little warmth in my heart. My brand as a wedding & portrait photographer has always been about the relationship with my clients. I hit a home run with this family from every aspect imaginable. I seriously love the Crosby’s and the Stephenson’s!!
