Life is completely wild, and sometimes we all experience something that makes us realize just how small the world really is. As you may or may not have read from my other blogs here, my business is based in Prattville, Alabama. I’ve lived and dwelled here in Prattville, Alabama since the young ripe age of five years old. Fast travel to my storefront opening back in June of 2018.
My first location was in a strip of local businesses in downtown Prattville, so of course as we were moving everything in we got to meet all of our new nosey neighbors:-). One of those neighbors was a super quiet boutique business owner just a business over from mine. As we were getting all of our prints up she kept making comments like, “boy, all of these wedding pictures sure is making me excited for my wedding day…..just waiting on my fiancé to pop the question”. Throughout the six months I got to become great friends with Emile, and we would often talk business when we saw each other. Then one day it happened, her fiancé popped the question she was waiting on. Then the wedding planning was on!!
It just so happens her fiancé comes from one of the most popular families here in Prattville. Not to mention Jerry’s mother was my seventh grade English teacher (Jerry = Groom). It’s still super crazy to me that after all of these years everything kind of came full circle, and I’m not entirely sure I would have met Emile without taking a chance on getting a storefront up. I introduced Emile and Jerry to my wife, which was a no brainer they would hit it off. The next thing I know my wife is planning and designing this wedding day to perfection.
So not only was I super excited to have this beautiful couple on the calendar knowing they have one amazing planner/designer/coordinator, but this was also my first time photographing at Twin Valley Farms here in Prattville. Kind of a crazy thought to know that I’ve photographed hundreds of weddings, but still haven’t photographed at every venue in my own backyard. Emile and Jerry were also the very first couple to book videography as well as photography with us which was something I just started offering early this year (which you can watch at the end of the blog). So there was a lot of first times and a lot of destiny it seems caught up with this wedding that had a lot of excitement for me and my team.
Twin Valley Farms turned out to be a super beautiful property and venue to photograph at, with very lovely owners. I have a few more weddings on the books for this location, and I’m really looking forward to coming back to the venue in the fall. I really love the way this wedding was curated and stitched together for the blog. The colors are unreal with how everything pops, and it was beautiful to see it all unfold cinematically for video. Love this couple, their families, their friends, and this wedding!!
