I can not thank Christi & Sam enough for trusting me with capturing their wedding day! The two of them had a huge decision to make right in middle of planning their wedding to make a change at photography, and ultimately decided to move forward with me as their wedding photographer. I can’t stress enough how important it is for couple’s to meet and discuss expectations for any vendor performing services for their wedding day, and how important it is to discuss those expectations with as many vendors as possible. Most definitely when it comes to the vendor documenting the day such as photography. It’s not that their original photographer wasn’t capable either, because it is actually one of my favorite photographers in our area. It was just a preference for them based on their own gut feeling. So when Christi received her images, and expressed her gratitude as well as how excited she was with everything it really meant a lot to me hear that. I knew I had big shoes to fill, and serious expectations to meet with these two. I’m just glad that it all worked out naturally for all of us:-).
It was such a gorgeous April day for these two, with perfect blue skies set up for one stellar kind of bride. I’ve photographed this area a hundred times before, and no matter the setting this place is just incredible to photograph in and around the venue. There were so many happy surprises that occurred throughout the day. Christi and Sam purchased the same pair of Air Jordan Nike shoe’s from the beginning of their relationship and saved them for their wedding day. How rad is it for your bride to rock sneakers like that on her wedding?!?! Sam completely broke down emotionally in tears as he saw Christi for the first time as she walked down the aisle to him during the ceremony, with Sam’s reaction completely priceless as the ceremony concluded with a few dance moves. Christi’s father also had a few dance moves of his own during their first dance at the reception. As you view their images you can just feel the happiness, as well as the comfort in front of their friends & families to be free to be who they are. Which is so huge to me to be a part of.
This was one of those “good” wedding vibe days for sure. Just from start to finish of the day, I think the main focus for everyone in and in attendance of this wedding was to have fun. At the end of it all, that’s honestly what it is all supposed to be about. Having fun marrying your best friend for better or for worse. I was honored to photograph it, and I know
